Hi, welcome to yet another post!
This past week has been fun, I have been learning something new everyday. Getting this theory all at once has a tendency to overload the ability to receive new information. Sometimes it feels like I’m not learning anything new, but after a good night sleep most of it seems to fall into place. It feels so good to actually be able to answer test questions. Actually understanding what’s being taught it is very satisfying. Soon we will be taking our first exams in all current classes, and will be the first of many. I feel more ready for every day that passes both with the theoretical knowledge but also the practical. Sunday I will be adding yet another class to the list which is Navigation. Learning to navigate via a map is going to be so exciting, and will be essential for the upcoming cross-country flights.
My first solo flight is coming up hopefully within the month if the weather behaves. Tomorrow I will practice being in the landing circuit at Roskilde Airport [EKRK]. On top of that also doing actual landing exercises. Getting ready for my fist solo I have to, in my upcoming flights do the emergency checklists “by heart”. Being able to execute the items on the list from memory when my instructor for example simulates and engine failure. A lot of items to remember but of course important if any failure occurs. All checks will happen naturally, instead of working while waving around a checklist around trying to remember which point you got to.
If you wish to know about something more specific just comment and I will answer to the best of my ability.
Thank you for tuning in.
BEV, over and out.
